Hello Amigas! It is the year of the Yang Metal Tiger and what better way to start the year by experimenting with your ‘total look’. After all, tigers represent boldness, influence’ independence, and overpowering attraction. So, let’s rev up our looks, put our best foot forward and don our own style with comfort and confidence.
While this year’s lucky color is said to be green, The Spring 2010 trend shows a lot of turquoise and, well, some fabulous skin. Who says you can’t don the turquoise like a celebrity? All you need is a bit of info and some guts to carry some fashion in your style. Of course, don’t forget to look great with your skin. This year’s spring fashion look seems to be more inclined to the au naturelle look.
So take note of these tips to get you going for the all new look that either purrs or roars.
Accessories
Nina Ricci’s Spring 2010 accessories collection is simple but elegant. It’s all about flowers – just apt for the season of blossoms. So, take your own bracelets and style it up with flower charms or add a flower pendant to your usual necklace.
Shine. Shine. Shine. Crystals are in for this season. Try adding some flower brooches to your usual work suit or glam up your look with layered crystal bracelets or beaded hair clips or headbands.
For those belt lovers, fret not. Belt is still a hot pick. The wider and more striking your belt is, the better. Don’t forget the fashionable buckles. If you’re in for the subtle, demure look, knits on footwear and lace-ups will be great. You can also try the beaded high-heeled sandals. Gucci, Prada, and YSL still retain the sexy heels but blend in the power of sparkle in their footwear collection.
Lanvin, on the other hand, plays the sexy high heels with elegant ankle straps and chains. Now, that’s striking, not to mention ‘sexy’.
Bags
Big is better. Oversized bags are the hot picks for summer. Try a style that looks fresh, stylish and colorful. Check out Versace’s Spring 2010 bag collection.
Ruffles are making statements in the runways now. In fact, it has spread over to shoes and, yes, bags. With either a clutch or a handbag, even the big ones, ruffles will earn you some nice compliments.
Of course, next to the ruffles are the ribbons and bows. They’re now making waves on the runways. From the waist to the shoes, even to the bags and plenty of accessories, ribbons and ruffles are surely making statements.
Dresses
